Gone are the days of frantically scribbling notes during your tabletop RPG sessions. Squire’s innovative RPG Session Summary Tool is transforming how gaming groups capture and preserve their adventures. This groundbreaking feature lets you focus on what truly matters—immersing yourself in the story and having fun with your friends.

How Does the RPG Session Summarizer Work?

The tool is remarkably straightforward. Simply record your session directly through the Squire app or upload an existing audio file. Our advanced AI technology then processes the recording, delivering two valuable outputs:

  • A concise summary highlighting key events
  • A complete session transcript

Key Benefits for Game Masters

As a GM, you’re juggling countless elements during a session. The Session Summarizer Tool acts as your reliable scribe, carefully documenting:

  • Important NPC introductions
  • Critical plot developments
  • Significant character decisions
  • Major world-building revelations

By using this tool, you can focus on storytelling while ensuring nothing important is lost.

Improved Player Accessibility

Through Squire’s Player Portal, your entire group can access session summaries at any time. This feature ensures everyone stays aligned with the story’s progression and remembers crucial details from previous sessions. No more “Wait, what happened last time?” moments!

Beyond Basic Transcription

While the RPG Session Summary Tool provides full session transcripts, its true power lies in its intelligent summarization capabilities. The AI filters out table chatter and off-topic discussions, focusing on the elements that advance your story. This means you get a clean, coherent narrative that’s easy to reference and build upon.

The Session Summarizer represents a significant step in Squire’s mission to help gaming groups capture their epic stories. By eliminating the burden of manual note-taking, we’re freeing players and GMs to fully engage with their storytelling experience.

Visibility Lines

Easily Share GM Notes With Players

Every epic tale holds its mysteries, and now Squire makes it easier than ever to share lore with players at exactly the right moment. We’re thrilled to introduce Visibility Lines, a powerful new addition to our player portal that revolutionizes how you share GM notes with players. This innovative feature puts GMs in complete control, allowing them to reveal information with players seamlessly while ensuring sensitive details don’t accidentally get exposed.

How Visibility Lines Work

The concept is beautifully simple. When creating lore for your world, you can now drag n’ drop a line that separates visible content from hidden information. Everything above the line becomes accessible to players through the player portal, while content below remains for the GM’s eyes only.

When you first create a lore record in Squire, it remains completely hidden from your players’ view. Once you’re ready to reveal its existence, you can toggle the record to visible status. At this point, a visibility line appears at the top of the document, just below the record’s name and image. This means players can initially see just these basic identifying elements. As your story unfolds, you can drag the visibility line downward, gradually exposing more paragraphs and details to your players. This flexible system lets you control exactly how much information your players can access at any given time, perfect for unveiling your world’s secrets at just the right moment.

Keeping Your Lore Consistent with Player Visibility

In our latest update, we’ve enhanced Squire’s visibility management system to prevent accidental information leaks while streamlining the GM experience. The system now intelligently alerts you when shared content contains references to hidden information – like a tavern description accidentally mentioning a secret thieves’ guild in the cellar. To make these controls more accessible, we’ve integrated visibility settings directly into the lore viewer pop-out, allowing GMs to adjust player permissions on the fly without navigating through multiple menus. Through Squire’s player portal, this seamless combination of smart content awareness and intuitive controls helps maintain the mystery of your world while ensuring a smooth, immersive experience for everyone at the table.

Empowering Player Engagement

The ultimate goal of these updates is to enhance the player experience. With properly managed lore visibility, players can unlock an exciting world of knowledge:

  • Discover world lore organically as their adventure unfolds, creating a rewarding collection experience
  • Access critical information during live sessions about NPCs, locations, and plot points at their fingertips
  • Review their accumulated knowledge between sessions to stay connected to the story
  • Track their progress through quests and maintain awareness of important story elements

This system transforms traditional note-taking into an engaging, game-like experience where players gradually build their understanding of the world. Like collecting pieces of an intricate puzzle, each session potentially reveals new secrets and deeper lore that players can revisit anytime through the player portal. This approach not only keeps players invested but ensures they never miss crucial details about their ongoing adventure.

Sharing Stories, Building Worlds Together

These enhancements perfectly complement our commitment to help gaming groups share lore with players in meaningful ways. From revealing information with players during intricate political schemes to sharing GM notes with players throughout dungeon delves, our Visibility Line system provides the precise control you need to craft your story. This innovative feature empowers Game Masters to manage their narratives with unprecedented flexibility, ensuring every revelation happens at exactly the right moment.

Squire Now Has Mobile Support

A Development Update

Mobile support for Squire has arrived! 📱

Hey there, world builders!

It’s been an exciting two weeks since we launched Squire, and we’ve been keeping a close eye on how you’re using our app. One thing became crystal clear from our analytics – the vast majority of you (82.9% to be exact) have been trying to access Squire from your mobile devices. For all of you who were previously trying to use the app in that state, we offer our most sincere apologies; it was not pretty. Although the signup and onboarding pages technically worked, once you got to the actual app, things pretty much exploded.

The graph that shows that ~83% of our users were accessing the app via mobile devices.

But those days are behind us now. We’ve worked tirelessly to make Squire the best possible app for our community. Today, we’re thrilled to announce that Squire is now fully mobile-supported! Whether you’re world-building during your commute, generating AI images while waiting in line for coffee, or getting AI inspiration for your next session during lunch break, Squire is now right there in your pocket.

We’ve made some thoughtful adjustments to how Squire operates on mobile devices to ensure a smoother user experience. When accessing your world-building content on your phone or tablet, you’ll notice that editing works a bit differently. Instead of jumping straight into editing mode when you tap a record, you’ll first need to explicitly enter edit mode. This intentional design choice prevents your device’s on-screen keyboard from popping up unexpectedly when you’re just trying to quickly reference your notes or lore. While we still recommend doing most of your heavy-duty world building on desktop for the most comfortable experience, we understand that inspiration can strike anywhere. That’s why we’ve optimized the mobile experience to give you the flexibility to choose how and where you want to work on your worlds.

For our tech-savvy community members, we’re using Tailwind CSS as our styling solution in Squire. Tailwind made it relatively straightforward to add mobile support and responsive design. Highly recommended.

We’re committed to making Squire the most accessible and user-friendly world-building tool out there, and this mobile support update is just one step in that direction. Keep the feedback coming – we’re always watching and listening to make Squire better for you.

Happy World Building!
